Christine Brallier grew up in Los Angeles, CA studying art and music through high school. With a love of children, the arts, and the helping professions, she graduated with an M.A. in psychology in 1996, focusing on art and music therapy with children.
In 2005 she bought a mosaic kit and fell in love with mosaics.
Since then she has been studying the art through books, the internet, and workshops with many fabulous mosaic artists including Martin Cheek, Carol Shelkin, Gary Drostle, and Laurel True.
She now creates mosaics for the home, business, galleries, and public places, and is currently working on her first children’s book with mosaic illustrations.
Christine is a member of the Society of American Mosaic Artists, the Goleta Valley Art Association and the Artists Guild of Santa Ynez Valley.
Her award-winning work has been published in Mosaic Fine Art Portraits, Mosaic Renaissance, The Mosaic Artist’s Bible of Mosaic Techniques, and in Mosaic Art for five consecutive years (2006-2010).

Artist Statement:
I have been creating mosaics with stained glass since 2005. I love everything about it from the process of choosing the colors, deciding how to cut the glass and how to lay it out, to grouting and revealing the final image. All of it fascinates me because there are infinite possibilities!
My mosaics are most often of animals and nature that are joyful in spirit. I love to use stained glass because of the beautiful range in colors, streaks and patterns and its smooth surface. I also incorporate millefiori (tiny glass flowers) into every design, which adds a fun and whimsical aspect to my mosaics, further communicating what I wish to say with my art!
